Tuff LED light on sale at Amazon

I just got a message from Amazon that they have 4 each 27 watt LED lights manufacturered by TUFF LED in Colorado on sale now for $86.89 (listed reg price $319) if anyone is interested. They also have some Chinese made on sale if anyone is interested in that junk.

Funny, I was just looking at the Tuff Light 4" square LED lights for my BX on Amazon - $26.88 each. Thinking of replacing the 35 watt halogens that don't throw much light. For anyone that has these lights, how did you ground them? The pic's show one wire I assume for 12 volts, so it must be grounded through the mount. Since I'm going to mount these to my painted ROPS with a bracket (that doesn't pierce the paint) I don't think these would get grounded. Guess I could run a wire to the mounting bolt back to the frame.

Thinking I clicked the wrong link I went back and no, I had clicked the correct link. Did a new search and now the search also said $99.60. I hate the way Amazon will change their prices on the fly like that based on demand.

Its not Amazon, its the seller.. And, since they went on sale, the seller with the low price/free shipping is prolly outta stock. Amazon will then show you the next best deal.

Looking at the price, the appearance and some of the comments on Amazon, it sounds like TUFF LED is not made in Colorado but made in China. Is there a specific one that IS made in Colorado?

Read the disclaimer on those as TUFF LED says they are not made by them but are a Chinese import and beware of the quality. TUFF LED is a patented product that the Chinese have ripped of the name and selling them for same price (actually higher IIRC it was $58 for 2 of the imports vs 86 or even 99 for the USA made one.

Now I'm a little confused since the price was $54 for two. Am I getting Chinese junk? I'll check when they come and send them back if they're not actually Tuff LEDs (if that's possible).

But, why would they be listed on Amazon under a brand name but not be what they claim to be? I'd think Amazon would be obligated not to list counterfeit stuff.

I bought 4 of the Tuff LED's back in the summer for my Ranger. I got them from Amazon for $90 and they work great. Very bright and project out pretty good too. They are very well made and they do have a ground wire. Both the hot and ground wires are surrounded with a heavy insulation. I am very pleased with them and hope this helps.

The only lights I saw listed from the real TUFF LED supplier in Colorado was the 4 for $86. The others listed were furnished buy several different companies and according to the TUFF LED site, these are all copies of their registered trademark brand from Chinese manufacturers just like the post above who got the Chinese copy and got junk. I would cancel that order if I were you.

I almost ordered one of the counterfeit version until I read this thread. Good thing too because that one was actually more expensive than the real one.
Just put in my order for the 4 pack for only ~$86. Hard to beat a price of ~$22 a piece.

Wow, this is getting confusing.

The first link I posted w/ the four lights used to go to the real ones sold by Tuff LED but now the link is taking you the knock off brands sold by Sunvalleytek. The real ones are only $86 for 4 lights and the fake are $99.

Sorry I don't know why Amazon links keep changing.

If you go to your Amazon order history, you should be able to click on the order details and see who it was sold by. If not by Tuff LED, then they are counterfeit.

So confused. I thought the Sunvalleytek versions were the real ones. Now I"m not sure, except for one thing. When I check the link for what I bought, there's no disclaimer that they're not Tuff LED lights, whereas many of the other listing do have that disclaimer, so I'm going to hold with what I bought.
