TSC slip-clutch

Rick, you hookup the 3ph on the cutter, then raise it to its highest position. Install the drive shaft on the tractor end with clutch(s) attached. Fully compress the drive shaft and place it alongside of the cutter shaft. measure how much too long it is at that point and cut that amount plus 1" off both ends of the drive shaft with a hacksaw. That should leave a least a 4" overlap in the fully lowered position.

Thanks Norm,I was looking at the length of my PTO shafts the other day and it looks like there is a lot of room to spare before they would bottom out into each other.Even with the extra length of the slip clutch I can't see where the two half's would bottom out in any situation like backing up a steep hill or raising to transport height.I ordered the clutch from Agri- Supply last Tuesday so I should know more when it arrive's.I guess I just didn't want to go and cut to much off so I was looking for some advice.
