hello all, I need to rebuild my old tiller, will retire several years and get back
to the garden since I will have the time. I will buy complete tiller if necessary. Thanks ahead of time

I have a troybilt horse, 8hp briggs, late 70`s, no power take off. Looking for
a good source of parts. Need trans gears. Tiller # 616933

I believe Troybuilt was bought out by "MCD". You should be able to go to any small engine repair shop (lawnmower shop) to get help with it. It is also my understanding that the gears in the transmission are bronze and require GL4 grease (not GL5) the phosphorus in GL5 eats the bronze. I've heard that GL4 can be had from some of the jeep enthusiast places.
