Troy Built tiller

I had a Troy Built tiller given to me. It is an econo horse. The motor has been replaced and does not work. I have a 5 hp motor for it and I am going to clean it up and maybe tear it apart before using it. My question is how many seals are on the transmisson and is there antrhing speical that I should check out while I have it apart. The motor needs to have a separate shaft coming out for rev so I will just set it up without reverse for now. The tines look good and the seals don't seem to be leaking on the tine end of transmission.

Unless there is a problem with the transmission, I'd leave it alone except for maybe changing the gear oil with yellow safe gear lube.

Be careful with those seals. Some are no longer available.
