troy built identification help

i have an older troy built tiller and am having problems with the serial number. I cleaned the area where it says serial number here but i am having no luck. That is odd and looks like it rusted off?
All I can think is that it's a very old two-speed but not even sre on that.
I'd look again and then look up the sn range on line. in must be somewhere.
After that, I'd call the company and see what they say.

Rusted off is what I think, though not a lot of rust on the machine as a whole.It is a two speed has TB-1019 and 5/22/79 cast on the handle frame.

Actually, the SN isn't all that important.
I have never needed one in other than some sort of Zen sense.
My dealings with these tillers over the years has been to break them down into early--two speed--or late--four speed.
After that, knowing which engine is helpful but that is easy and there might be a tag right on it.
You really don't even need know that since visual ID is easy.
You can track down a parts and owners manual on EBAY if you want and it would be helpful in a way.
No matter what you do, include the tiller in your will because with reasonable care and adult supervision these things just seem to run forever.
