Trouble w/ RedMax EBZ8050

I was recently given a RedMax EBZ8050 to see if I can get it running. The blower will start, but it creates an instant James Bond smoke screen and has very little power. It seems to only run WOT.

Plug is brand new. Thoughts/suggestions?

hard to say.Could be just worn out from heavy use. I have the mod just under the 8050 & it's a great blower I've had it about 6-7 yrs .If it looks good ,it is worth having it looked at by a small engine shop / dealer.They aren't cheap blowers by any means
