Keep the engine rpms high, use the lowest range and the most pedal you can to achieve the ground speed you want. Hydros like cool clean oil. The best way to achieve that is to have it flowing through the filter at a high rate and have the cooling fan spinning rapidly.

I always do run full RPM and use low range when mowing for sure.

So I got out and mowed this afternoon. After a full service on the tractor it was definitely running much better overall and why wouldn’t it given what the old hydro oil looked like.. Pulling the hill was the same results as before. Pulls it like it’s nothing when cold and won’t pull it when it gets all warmed up. I mean otherwise the tractor performs like it should. I guess I will just start hitting those hilly spots when I first start.
