Triple Bagger

I have a CC 2518 with 44 deck. I have the triple bagger. I was wondering if anyone else had problems keeping the chute attached to the deck? It always seems to come off. I have found that if you don't raise or lower the deck height I have better luck. Any Suggestions? I thought maybe some kind of strap with hook into the deck? In think CC needs to come up with a better design. The bagger does work fine other wise.
I was trying to locate a 2003 Cub Cadet Catalog. That is when I got my machine and somehow got lost in the shuffle.

I don't have your model but my CC 2554 54" cut with a triple bager that does have a strap that attaches to the back of the mower deck along with a bracket in the front of the chute that attaches to the mower deck.

My chute has three straps, 2 of them connects to the large tube that goes to the bagger and the other to the deck as discribed above.

I have the triple with mine (44 inch deck).

There is no deck strap on the 44. That handle bracket latches onto the long bar/pin under the chute safety cover as you know, but the trick is that after you hook it on, you must push it forward with your hand into the side of the deck. This moves that flat steel plate underneath the handle into a locking position that prevents the chute from detaching from the deck. It was a little odd/tricky the 1st time to engage, but I am very used to it now. The manual for the bagger was pretty good in it's description of this which I had to refer to the first few times I used it.

Thanks for the tip!I think the problem I was having was the slider was stiff. It seems to click into place now. The 2518 was a new model in 2003. The 2544 is identical. Over all I couldn't be happier with it. Thanks again!
