Depends on how you mix it, the are ways to mix sugar based products into gasoline.

Just wondering if the OP had a follow up?

Two weeks ago yesterday I contacted the MSP and gave them the go ahead. I had not heard back from them and contacted their office yesterday where I spoke to another Trooper who was vaguely familiar with the situation. We had a great conversation; turns out his family owns a HUGE blueberry farm on the West side of the state. Anyway, I left my cell number for the Trooper and haven't heard back from him yet.

The process, as I understand it, is this: Trooper swears out warrant; evidence is reviewed by the prosecutor's office; appropriate charges are applied; subject is notified and I'm not sure what happens next. I have a client who works for a judge in the same county and spoke with her yesterday as well. She indicated that it is very normal for these things to take a fair amount of time as precedence is given to more serious matters, and understandably so.

I will update the thread as soon as I have anything to report. Let's hope something happens before next season rolls around. ;) I know both Troopers that I have spoken with enjoy target shooting and plan on inviting them both over tomorrow evening when we start slinging lead.

Boy it sux to have to get this formal with the process, but I definitely don't blame you at all for doing so. The fact is these people are trespassing thieves.

Well Dave I sure hope you dont have a bottle neck at the county prosecutors office like we do or it may take awhile.

Law enforcement around here is very aggravated at ours there are dui cases for instance been in there so long some of the perps are on their 2nd and third offenses before the first case goes to court.

I personally filled a trespassing charge against my neighbor and it NEVER saw the light of day in a court room and I had pics of him and the no trespassing sign in the same pic while he was on my property.

I gave up on the law and dealt with him my way he stayed on his side of the fence after that. :D

Yep...I have a friend who worked as an insurance adjuster for the provincial insurance company (SGI) and he used to get that old wives tale from the odd guy trying to put in a vandalism claim on some old POS motor that blew up on them. He had a small glass bottle filled with gasoline and a bit of plain white sugar in it that he would bring out and show guys when they tried that story on him. They didn't know what to say when he proved to them that it couldn't have happened! :D

bugger, I am disullusioned. I do know that water in gasoline is no fun. Did that to a motor cyclist that used to terrify the neighbourhood. It was so funny watching him rev **** out of the motor and then have it just die. He soon go sick of it and didn't see him again. Probably too lazy to drain the fuel system

We have an issue with tresspassers on our property and with most people being contacted by the police will curb any future tresspassing, but there are always those who think they are above the law. I mounted a plot watcher camera high in a tree to catch tresspassers and poachers, sadly it's the same family. Only problem with a plot watcher is that the sd card has to be swapped every week as there are thousands of pics that you watch as a video. It makes it easy to see what is happening and surprising as to all the animal activity that is never caught with a regular camera.

You might want to mount a hidden camera high in a tree that faces another game camera that is extremely visible say right by the blueberries. Thieves and tresspassers will either damage or try to steal the visible camera when it's noticed since they know they are caught. Then you have distruction of private property or theft. Buy a very high dollar camera that's over 500 and return it for a low priced one, be sure to hold on to the receipt. Over 500 is the magic number for escilating criminal charges. Just be sure the hidden camera doesn't have a perfect view of the face of visible camera, but many cameras look the same.

It reminds me of my father in law telling me about a past neighbor stealing sweet corn from another neighbor for years. One year the farmer decided to try their hand at planting ag corn and for some reason the neighbor decided to steal it also thinking it was sweet corn. Clearly ag corn today doesn't look anything like sweet corn but it was the 70's when it happened. I don't know the full story but they said the mother in law left by ambulance due to stomach issues.

I like this idea all the way up to the point of doing the camera swap. Don't put yourself in any jeopardy of being discredited for lying. Do everything right. Not only will you feel more confident about it but you will keep your case more tight. Also if it comes to light you did the switch you can rest assured the prosecutor and law enforcement will not trust you in the future. Other than that I like the plot camera idea, it makes sense they wouldn't look high in the trees.

In New Hampshire we'd just wait for them to come back and shoot them.
In Missouri, we just put some nails in boards and turn them upside down...just for fun....need to make sure they are extra rusty. :D

Well said- I was a little surprised someone suggested fraud/lying as a countermeasure.

Sorry, missed the replies to this thread over the past few days (no e-mail updates). I spoke with the State Trooper about 2 weeks ago and he indicated that he had been there a couple of times and left his card. I plan on calling him either tomorrow or Monday to check in. I don't want to call too often but I don't want this to get pushed back too far, either. I will update the thread after I speak with him again.

Neighbor called this week and asked if my gate got hit again (I tried pushing it gently with the loader on my tractor to open it and it seemed to dent really easy). He knew about my damage but thought it was worse. Tonight we noticed that it was, in fact, hit. Not sure what happened but about 1/4 mile from the gate I have another ingress route blocked with a piece of concrete and a few trees that were also moved along w/a new beer can. Not sure what to make of this.

I am planning on adding another camera aimed towards my barn door. I will keep it in plot watch mode but it will also trigger if there is motion so I can keep more eyes on our valuables down there.
