Just wondering Spruce...do you use the round pipe forks like regular forks to pick up the tree bundles? Why don't you use regular forks? Interesting pics!

Thanks for the comment red! The set of forks are round because the round pipe has no "edges" to cut the burlap. The forks are also squeeze forks. They open up about 3 foot or so and slide in toward each other to about a foot. They adjust like that for the different tree ball sizes. They work slick on pallets too!

Hello it looks like you do a good job harvesting your plants. I am in the tree growing and harvesting business also. I have a ton of questions. How is the economy in your area? How far do you ship your plants? Is that a Lemar tree spade? I've seen them at trade shows but I own several other brands. Most of the trees that we grow and harvest are decidious and while spring is here we did get down to 30 Sunday night. The end of our digging season is fast approaching.

Thanks for noticing franklinute! The economy is a little slow, The timber industry is taking it the hardest around here. We have shipped trees to several western states. The farthest so far has been colorado. Yes that is a lemar spade. It is a 36 in spade with two gates, and overall faster than the dutchman or caretree spades. For now I have been contracting out the digging. Keeps overhead low and have had excellent results. As I am typing, it is snowing and 32deg. typical rocky mountain weather

Our dig season has a while yet, decidiuos or coniferous. GOOD LUCK!!!!
