Rest in Peace
Yep, Chris, I read the article AARP published on the benefits of walking. I have always been a fast walker, but I tell my wife if she walks any slower she'll be going backwards.
We seldom go shopping together because she says it's too hard to keep up with me and I tell her I can't walk as slow as her without staggering.
My wife suffers from a bit of leg pain; seems to run in her family and she's had everything from MRIs to x-rays to physical therapy, etc. and the doctors don't really know what causes it. But she goes out for a walk 3 or 4 times a day, down to the corner and back, because it helps the leg pain. But of course it's not going to get her heart rate up any.
I've seen some pictures of rolling your foot over a can and I've read about massaging with ice. I asked my doctor about it and he didn't seem to think it would help me, but said it couldn't hurt and if there was any swelling at the end of the day (I've not had any), then ice would be beneficial.
