I was told transmission fluid for my 3032e is high at a JD dealer. Anyone know what kind of trans fluid I can get some where else?
Plenty of high-quality alternatives to JD-branded transmission/hydraulic fluids out there. I use Chevron 1000 THF. It meets JD's J20C spec. Nothing bargain-basement about it. The only downside is that the color is ORANGE.
Kennyd. No one said I was looking for bargain basement fluid. You must have misread.Someone was talking about the transmission fluid costing $100 for a 5gl bucket at the dealer. Im just looking for something compatible.
Is it any cheaper? I have been unable to find locally anything that is cheaper unless you go to a "off" brand. I am like the first two posters, I use Deere fliuds and when and if something breaks I do not have to wonder if it was the fluid.

...we will see what the fluid cost.
When it comes to "normal" maintenance parts like Oil, Filters, Grease, Etc... its hard to beat the JD price. IMO its not worth shopping around because when you compare GOOD quality filters or Oil to the JD Filters & Oil you end up at around the same price.....
Heck I bought the JD Plus-50 Synthetic 0w40 by the Gallon for cheaper then Mobil 1....I got JD oil in the Crankcase of my GMC truck
If you dont need the oil NOW, dealers usually have a spring or fall sales event on oil and such...when I bought my 2 pails of HyGard this spring I save something like 15%
