Oil & Fuel Transaxle fluid level

Question for you 2210 owners.........

The Transaxle oil in the sight glass should be checked with the engine running or turned off and just warmed up?

I ask because without the engine running the sight glass is completly covered with oil.

With the engine running No oil shows on the sight glass.

The owners manual does not state the engine should be running.

I'll just add to have the tractor sitting as level as possible and to also have your 3PT down too.
