Looks like the train just clipped the nose of the tractor. The operators station looks to still be intact so I can believe that the operator came out OK. Still had to be one heck of a ride though.

It is a VERY bad idea to race a train in a small fast car. Let alone a LARGE AND SLOW peice of equipment.

talk about splitting a tractor:confused: hope everyone is ok

I'm glad to hear the operator is ok, but......ummmmm.... What was he thinking? :confused2:

Tractor vs 100 ton+ moving train... :confused2: Did he think the train would stop for him, or just get out of his way. :D

Doesn't mater where I am or what I'm driving I always check to make sure its safe to cross a marked railroad crossing. (Although I sure get some funny looks when I slow to a near stop in my Pickup. :D )

How can you not see a train coming? Looks like a bright day with good visibilty.

MoKelly

He probably did see it ... tractor konked out so the driver got out safely before the collision? I'm guessing ...

The cab is intact so he could be ok if he was actually in it. Can you imagine the jolt though? You would have to be slammed around in that cab pretty hard.

There is a brown puddle in front of whats left of the cab I'm sure it isn't 100% oil and diesel fuel:laughing:

Maybe there was a second train on the inner track that he did wait for. When it passed he jumped on it and rammed the farther train.

I probably would have had to go inside and change my shorts before finishing chors for the day

Anytime you go up against BNSF, you will lose! Glad to hear the operator walked away unharmed. I am certain he learned a lesson the hard way, one that will never be forgotten!

I got this on an email at work a week or two ago and it said it was a 17 or 18 year old driving his dads tractor. If that is true I'll bet once his dad got over being scared half to death they had quite a conversation.

Little bit of JB Weld and it will look like new!

Their is NO WAY JB weld will hold on a repair like that unless it has some duct tape reinforcement:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
