Here's an excerpt from his first post:

"Looks like a no brainer but in NC if the GVW of the trailer is greater than 10K & the combined truck and trailer GVW exceeds 26K you must have a class A CDL which don't have nor do I want to get "

it doesn't sound like he is comercial.. unless he's specified it somewhere else. just looks like he is trying to navigate the myriad of stupid dmv laws that should be a lil 'normalized' throughout this 'single' country.

Either way,

Farm = Commercial, as far as USDOT number and such are concerned.

and that's why I wouldn't farm tag something vs normal private ownership registration.

florida for instance.. just got rid of class D license's that were primarily used by people with farm tags... now it's private class e.. or a cdl....a-c if you are in business
