Trailer brake problem...

I had to do that on my dodge ram one time.. wire harnes had an open inthe trailer brake power wire I was going crazy chasing. finally scabbed a new wire onthe outside and fixed it... later found a crimp connect repair from a prev owner hidden behind the dash.. it was hand tight..

i've seen 7to6 problems due to 2 different wire standards.. but if he's on a straight 7 pin plug with no trailer attached.. the power and brake line being crossed isn't the issue... it's an open circuit untill plugged in..
