That's an interesting thought and would be durable. But since just about every part of the trailer frame is structural I would be concerned that the coating may hide propagating cracks, whereas with paint some rust staining or a visual inspection would reveal that issue before it's a catastrophic failure.

Good point. I have my farm implements Rhino Lined when needed. I prep them and drop them off and tell them I am in no hurry. When they have a little extra in the gun they shoot it. Got a bush hog done for $75. Still looks great and will take a beating for years. Next I am going to have the fenders done on my tractor.
