GOD Bless the family of the 5 y/o especially, and the GF too, I guess, despite his negligence.
I know of too many horror stories about accidents injuring kids on riding lawnmowers and tractors to ever let my families' kids do so, but some people just won't listen....
As a kid who rode on tractor fenders, drawbars, and axles from age 7 on, all I can say is: at the time we didn't know any better, and now we do, much to our own sadness and regret :'( .
