Okay loyal customers.

I guess I owe it to you to at least give it a try.
The $5.00 shipping you understand will soon be gone.
I will try my best to rework the shopping cart to figure some realistic as possible shipping cost.
If possible maybe I can configure an approximate delivery time frame and offer different shipping options to choose from.
I did not want to see anyone waitng two weeks on parts.
We think we can handle a pretty good fill rate from our own inventory. What we do not have will need to be looked at and descisons made.
It only takes a little $0.25 part that was not in stock to mess the whole thing up.
We will all be in that same boat however. I eneterd some part numbers for orders I have filled this week in some other dealers shopping cart. They could not fill any of the orders from in house stock completely either.
We can try this out and see if it will fly.

As a new kubota owner, I'm glad you are going to stay around since your reputation is "gold" here (and that is hard to come by and easy to lose).

The "changes" may marginalize you out of some segments, but perhaps you can adapt to the "market" that you serve best ...

Example #1, say I need the "5 items" for a x-Hour maintenance ... you setup a "buy these 5 and pay actual shipping". If that's worth it to me (aka ... your cheaper OR more convienent, OR ...) then you have a sale. (aka you win, since your markup "beat" the dealer). If you "specialize" in this area (and perhaps carry some inventory?), you can maximize *your* profit.

Example #2, say I need some special piece (that really needs a drop ship). Unless you can beat the dealer on price, I might as well support my dealer. (aka you lose, why go remote when people can go local?).

Example #3, say my dealer is far away (or is a dufus) ... charge me actual shipping for what I *need*, and I'd be happy. (aka you win, since I get a reputable "dealer" when I have no local choice).

Just my random thoughts ... let me know when the "service pack" is available for a L3130 (ship to 98065) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Glad to hear that you are going to try to work things out. I have read many a post about how members were happy that they had you and your business to deal with over the years that I have been on TBN. You are definitely an asset to the Kubota community. I'm glad to hear that and hope it all works out. I don't know if you have already... but if you look through the Kubota forums you will see that Tractorsmart has been discussed many times over the years and everyone has always had great things to say... myself included.
