in feb. of this year I had a coolant by pass hose break.. leaked all my anti freeze out and tractor ran like crap.. I never notice the temp gauge because all the anti freeze leaked out.. to make a long story a little shorter I found a local tractor mechanic who tried a few tricks but to no avail.. he spilt the tractor send engine to machine shop which stayed there until late sept.. machine shop did nothing but promise we will get to it..this mechanic went and got the engine back..he installed new injectors,, new rings..new crankshaft bearing, new head gasket and oil pan gasket..$1400.00 parts.. he reworked the head and valves while waiting for the above parts which took over 3 weeks..today I went and picked up my now running tractor which runs pretty good..he also adjusted my hydraulic pressure for the loader and turned up the H.P. up a notch.. he also tried adjusting my shuttle shift but doesn't work like it should...his labor was 48 hrs. at $80.00 per hour.. all of this expense because a $14.00 dollar by pass hose failed.. I suggest you check your by pass hose for deterioration often.. this hose is underneath the motor about a foot long.. if the machine shop would have been upfront on time it spent sitting he could have changed these parts without splitting the tractor.. well that is my story.. y'all be safe and take care...
