I dont think there is a gap of time for hardwood, cut down, mill up, stick up, strap down.Gentlemen...
Any ideas on how much of a gap in time is generally safe for Maple to be cut down - before being milled...and still have good wood (not stained)?
And similar question for pine, if it's off the ground?
For Northern PA...
Northern white pine form May to October should be milled up in 3 weeks or put in farm pond to keep bug off, have about 4 hours to sticker it before staining.
