Are you going to move those split piles? Seems like the bottom stack would rot on the ground.

I already have enough wood in proper storage. I’ll sell that whenever i find someone to buy it.

So, Farmer2009 are you going to tell us what saw you ended up getting?

Well I had decided on the Echo 620P. Then the wife nixed the buy. I’ve bummed Dad’s 455 Rancher for the time being. Although it might still show up one day.

Thanks for all your input.

Finally got a little wood into the shed. I enjoyed using the carryall I built to shuffle pallets from the splitter to the shed. I had 3 pallets about the size of the one in the pic that went in. I think I need to get some more weight on the front of the Bolens, the pallet of split wood in the pic had me steering with the brakes mostly. I know I should have just picked up the log in the pic across the carry all, but I was mostly skidding it. I had some doubts about my welding, but I think I'm over that after what the pallet must have weighed. Nothing bent or broke, maybe I shouldn't add weight... pallet2.jpeglog1 (1).jpeg

That looks like a slick rig. The best way to practice your welding is to build something and if it breaks, do it again to learn from your mistakes.

I borrowed my friends cheap wire feed welder to tack the carryall together. Was almost done and toasted the wire feed controller. Fortunately I was able to solder in parts to repair it. I got it back to him and gave him some spares for the future. I didn't want to break anything else, including my Dad's old Lincoln stick welder I finished it with on this project.

Nice carry-all for your little Bolens. ^^^ That's what I think too. Everything you weld is a valuable learning experience.
