Well Gordon, you may be losing your pricing perspective, but at least you still have a"hot rear end"!
Yes it is aluminum, but it has a steel insert for a bush,Wow, that IS big. I might just try one out. Aluminum for the wheel (pulley) is a bit of a concern.
Did a little cutting today. It was way too hot to be working in the sun. And man those saw chaps don't breathe at all. I'll wait for another day to get it split and stacked.

Yes it's s little Kioti and it's a bucket grapple from Michigan Iron and Equipment. It's been an amazing addition to the tractor. Is that a grapple on your little Kioti, or is there a perspective issue, that's fooling me and it's really a BIG Kioti
If it's a grapple on a little one, what kind is it, and where did you find it?
Thanks,
Thomas
PS: That's quite a little wood collection too, how much do you think you have there.

As for the fire wood, those are 16' racks stacked about 5' tall and I run my pieces at about 20". I have just over 20 racks filled at this point. Some oak, some cherry, some maple, and others.
I went through that same debate with myself for a while but what sent me to the bucket grapple was my lack of ssqa and cost. Thanks for the quick and helpful answers.
I have been thinking about either a add-on bucket grapple, or a full [small] grapple.
Can I ask, is this the one you have:
QAG-S Series (Single Top Grapples) Model: QAG-48-S Bottom Width: 48" Top Width: 32" Weight: 349#
Price: Redacted from page ['cause it's rude to ask $ questions.]??
That's a lot of wood- is it all for personal use, or are you a seller?
Thanks again,
Thomas
Okay motown... you got my mind thinking in the wrong places with that one! :laughing:Well Gordon, you may be losing your pricing perspective, but at least you still have a"hot rear end"!![]()
I don't think it is to big a deal. but who knows for sure. Going to the nest the animal I do not think will follow your human sent. Say if you visit a nest and step on feces or get scent on you then you walk away from the nest then I suspect there would be an interesting scent that a predator may find interesting to trace back.On the one hand, we have the opinion that human scent will attract predators to a turkey nest. On the other hand, we have the opinion that human scent will repel predators from a trap. Well, fellers.... which one is it? We seem to have a multitude of wildlife, both prey and predators within spitting distance of our house. There's bird nests that we frequent to check on the babies. There's a bird feeder with my smell all over it that gets emptied by birds and mammals daily. There's a groundhog hole that I stomp over daily about 5' from a fox den. There's deer all over my garden where I spend considerable time. The coyote comes through and sniffs all around our house..... if I mow a trail on a Monday and my kids and her friends run cross country on sweating all over it for a couple hours, by Tuesday its trampled by deer and turkeys and coyotes. While I have seen a buck turn and run when it got scent of me, I have seen more deer come right up to my equipment and house and sniff it up and down. Is it really that big of a deal to look at a turkey nest? I don't think so.
