So I had some time late in late eve (you know, "life" gets in the way of "fun")
Unless I am missing something, and will still go through the "check the engine start system" checklist, my understanding if it was a sensor issue, I would see more intermittent issues, and more so with starting. I do not see any issues with moving, tractor just idles for a while and dies.
It's either starved of fuel, or maybe gets too much air?
Starved of fuel to me is either going back to the lift pump again, or maybe the solenoid doesn't fully open (is that even possible?)
What I can't explain, why does the issue become worse the warmer the tractor gets.
And I mean literally, the last time I couldn't get it past 1000 RPM when it was mid to upper 80's, today I couldn't get it past 2000 RPM when it was low 70's in the evening.. I also seem to have more success in running the tracor for longer in the morning (and now evenings) than in the afternoons.
Frankly, the theory that would make most sense to me is a cracked fuel line. The warmer it is probably the softer the rubber and the easier for it to suck air in... Still don't fully explain what happens when it runs for a while, maybe fuel warms up from the engine? The behavior seems rather similar to when I open up the "bleed" vent while engine is running. Wouldn't one expect some sort of minor fuel leak as proof of fuel line issues?
Video of today's rev-up ,please notice, running the test w/o air filter.
