TSC is one of our favorite places to shop. I say "our" because the wife always loads up with 50 pound bags of bird seed while I'm doing some serious shopping in the hardware and tool section. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Shop till you drop doesn't only apply to the ladies you know.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Cat food is really cheap at Tractor Supply Company and they have a good variety. You have to buy an 18 (I think???) pound bag but it is almost the same price as a 6 pound bag from somewhere else! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I heard rumor of a TSC in Enfield, CT on Palumba Dr. (of all places). I went there today and it's really true /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

That is great news!!

I think that is less than a two hour drive from my place. Maybe they will spread northward from there. I really like that store.

yea i went there a week or two ago, not a bad store, the one in amenia, new york is actualy closer to me, but the one in enfield is only about 10 minutes from my girlfriends house so i stopped by there to see the new store, of course i stopped by just to look but ended up spending $93 there. they are also supposed to be opening one in winsted connecticut in a few months, thats only about 20 minutes from my house and only about 5 minutes from my work so it will be very convenient for me. tractor supply sure seems to be filling in the northeast pretty good

What is it with TSC? I go in to pick up something and usually end up spending over $100 and maybe didn't even buy what I went in to get!

Too bad there aren't any in Maine!

I wish that they would come to the west, at this point I have never seen one in real life.

I've been kinda dissapointed in the one local to me. They never seem to have exactly what I want, and their prices seem to be on the high side for a lot of stuff.

Me too - the closest one (14 miles?) doesn't have any salespeople that know anything about tractors, implements, or 3ph, but they have expensive chicken wire and other stuff that can be had at Lowe's down the street for less.

Around these parts we call TSC "Tough S**t Charlie's".

Actually, along with Wally World, they are contributing to the Foreign Trade Deficit. They have an over abundance of Chinese made goods.

I do buy my bailer twine there. I buy a skid at a time and their price is less than anywhere else. I also buy my pellet stove fuel there. I usually buy 6 tons at a time and get the ton price. Besides they have a forklift to load my dropdeck trailer if they can get it out of the junked up store.

Speaking of pellet stoves, the price of pellets hasn't gone up in 6 years. Compared to fuel oil, propane, natural gas or electricity, pellet fueled stoves have become an extreme bargain.

TSC is my wife's and my favorite store. In fact we just got back from there. We get most of our livestock and fencing supplies there, as well as dog food and catfood. No one has better prices or better selection for general livestock supplies. For example, we need to use our chain link fenced dog exercise pen for a temporary home for a new Nubian buck. We went to TSC hoping to find something we could adapt to use as insulators to put a hot wire on the chain link. They actually had SEVERAL different styles of chain link fence insulators, and I didn't even know such a thing existed!!

We LOVE that store!!!

You talk about a junked up store with a trade deficit because of chinese junk and you buy a Japenese Kubota. Whats the point?

JohnK I really don't think you want to start a war here at the TBN site with Daryl or anyone else. I'm sure the way your comment came out was not the way that it was intended. Most tractors made today including my New Holland have components made overseas thats just the way it is today.

Not starting a war just stating the facts......... Everyone has their opinion........ It sounded like double talking to me. Thats all. Whats the difference between Japenese and Chinese besides a couple 1000 miles? It's not good ole USA. Sorry if I sounded rude............
