Carl, I keep my 4100 inside of one of my garage bays sitting on top of my Trailer. i have the trailer lowered with the wheels off and on jacks and ramps. It provides me with a raised platform for working on it and it allows me to keep both of them inside protected from the elements.

I keep my JD 4100 in my 10'x10' garden shed when I have the FEL off. Otherwise, I can't shut the doors. It has been stored outside for a few weeks at a time when I was using the FEL a lot. Luckily, that was when we had our draught period. A building of some sort is in the planning stages. I'm leaning toward a small bank barn to take advantage of my terrain.
As far as mice, one of the problems with living in rural areas. Just have to work around the little buggers. Cats, traps, and DCON rule!!
