Cool!

The only mag I have a shot at getting on the cover of is "Red Neck Monthly", and I ain't got no hound dog under the car that's on blocks.... Always a day late and a dollar short.

Is the Tractor shop mag on-line, so we can see the beauty?

Yep, I get TS. Your 5000 looks really neato. How many hours did you put into the restoration? What did it look like when you got it? Any engine/tranny work necessary?

BTW: your spread looks flatter than mine.

She's parked by the 7610s. the 5000 has a 10' mower and the 7610s has a 15'.

I did add a sun canopy and fire extinguisher to her though!

Much more than that. Most of my fords have been in magazines.. some many times, as well as a couple of my other color tractors.

n-news, farm collector, antique power, old allis news, harvester highlights, fordson newsletter.. now tractor shop..etc..

I do have a few pics of her as bought.

lots of cosmetic work.. sheet metal was banged up good and 40% rusty. Fenders had holes all over them. dash cowling was beat up, floor boards were cracked and bent.. had to pull them, straighten and weld them up.

electrical was shot.. no grill.. radiator work, fan and belt.. muffler. some fuel system work, though inj pump was fine. Managed to salvage and restore the 'allied signal' blinker lamp mounted to the fender.. it actually has the blinker module inside it.. not under the dash...power steering leaked at connectios.. no biggie. dash was not connected except tach.. lamps and fuses blown in it...

seat was a replacement at the time of sale. Engine ran fine, hyds needed servicing, and a few bolt on parts here and there needed repalcement.

don't recall exactly.. but believe i got her in early august of the year and finished painting here on thanksgiving that year...

here are 4 pics of when i got her.

then a close up of the rear, then a side, and the last shows her with her mower and a spare canopy buggy top I had.

and yes.. my land is as flat as the proverbial pancake.. though with a very gentle slope... you almost need a transit level to see the drop from front to rear.. ( 6-8' in 500' )

Interesting ROPS. :) The canopy reminds me of a couple on mine. One is a shade umbrella from an old piece of patio furniture. The other I think WAS a piece of patio furniture at one point.

Sweet restoration. Wish my 3000 looked like that, but I'd settle for fixing all of its problems though.
