Ford 3600 quits after warms up, not the coil, so will the condenser do this? I thought they just blow and done, cracked cap? TIA

I've no idea how you know it's not the coil but yes, it could be the condenser. If you have one it could also be the ballast resistor and you are correct, it could be the distributor cap. It could also be the rotor failing to make contact with the center of the distributor cap. Of course it could be the ignition switch as well or loose or corroded contacts on the wiring. Perhaps something is moving a bit and shorting to ground. The actual troubleshooting is up to you.

I've heard of condensors shorting when they get hot. But I've never actually seen it happen. If it does, the spark will either completely disappear or become weak and feeble at the points, coil. & plugs.

More likely to be old plug wires, connectors, & dist. cap.

Test the coil by connecting the secondary to a spark plug and holding the plug against the frame while touching the coil primary connections to battery voltage.
