I bought a used Ford 7308 loader that had (what I thought was) minor damage. After getting further into it I found the dust cops on the Prince LVS valve were bad. I have looked many places but keep coming up empty handed as the Prince valves are discontinued. I have maybe found a LVT valve for around $1500 that I can take the caps off of to get mine going. Any other less expensive ideas. I hate to purchase the whole valve for the caps if I don't need to.

Yes, I have researched this already. The valves and the parts are discontinued. I went to a local Prince dealer and they contacted Prince and was told there are no parts available. They even used the caps off of a display model they have. I have the specs and was going to have some made up by a machine shop but the cost will be as much as the whole valve or more.

What has failed on the end caps? I have worked on a lot of valve stacks and besides a cap coming loose and the O-ring seal failing I don't recall ever having to replace the caps. These were primarily Vickers valves in up to a 10 section unit.

The tractor it came off of had a fire on the dash and the hoses caught fire. I did not know until after I bought the loader that the end caps got hot and melted as they are made of a soft metal. My bad for not checking the damage out better.

OK, thanks. I was just hoping someone would have an old valve sitting on a shelf that they did not throw away yet that I could get the caps from.

The 1st two links might lead you to something useful.

Thanks for the help. I tried the first 2 and still no luck. I might try the third, but I am a little suspect of something so inexpensive.

Make an offer maybe. I'm sure there is a valve out there, you just have to be lucky enough to shake the right tree.
