tractor identifacation

i just bought a ferguson tractor and need some help as to what i have the serial #iea 010367 tag said it was built in coventry uk standard motor company i think it is 85 mm bore any help on year and what model is greatly app thank marty1950 idont know how to post a picture

I think the "i" in your serial number may actually be a "t", making it "TEA 010367". If so, your tractor may be a 1948 TEA-20.

We definatally need more feedback from the OP to really narrow this down.

For starters, IF that is the serial number, I am betting that the first 0 is wrong. Could it be anything else from a 1 to a 5??????

Second, IF it is a TEA, then yes, that is a tractor built in england. The TO's were the american version. And the TE's were england. A note on tractor data says that when they dropped the continental engine and went to the standard engine in 1947, it became the TEA.

Now you say yours has the standard engine. and 85MM bore. (BTW, how do you know it is an 85mm bore???? Does it say somewhere on the engine???)

Anyway, the 85mm bore standard engine started at serial #172598.

So either you may have a tractor that had a replacement engine. OR, you have to have a serial number that is higher than 172598 for things to make sense.

A serial number in the 10,000's is only 1947's, which still would have been the continental engine or the standard 80mm bore.
