Kubota M59, JD530, JD310SG. Restoring Yanmar YM165D
Ever wonder how many hours per year people put on their tractors?
Ours are used mostly for small chores, snow, & landscaping - we don't do anymore mowing or field work.
The newish Kubota's hour meter averages almost 100 hrs/year since 2008. The old one less than 50/year.
It sure seems like more than that.....

The '10 M6040 is just shy of 100/year, the '13 L3800 about 50, and the '24 Kioti CX2620 just turned to seven hours after nine months.

If I remember the numbers correctly, the '15 (?) BX25D averages 12.5 hrs per year. Much of them because I start it out of pity, plus it takes a small eternity to accomplish anything with it.

Avg 100hrs a year bush hog and clearing trails.

Between the three Kubotas I'm in the 100-120 total hours/year range. The zero turn gets the most, the utv and tractor are tied for last place.

Just under 600 hours since buying the L4240 six years ago. I kept the L3200 for the first year after buying it. So although the L4240 has been the primary tractor, the L3200 and the Ford 1210 also saw usage.

The largest use is mowing the yard. It also gets pressed into service for loader work and snow removal (hit or miss snow here).

MF1533 about 75-100/year last 4 years... MT125 - 25 last year.. Just picked up Kubota SVL65-2 ... already have 25 hours on it. Use is land maintenance, brush hogging, trail building, invasive species removal, stump removal - and any other chore we can apply these machines to help us do! 200 acres to keep in control!

85-100 Hours a year so far

Wow... Here I thought I used my tractor a lot. Bought it I think 2013 has about 760Hrs on it. So that equals about 58 hrs a year.

My mower about 50 a year.

Mule about 80 hrs a year.

Hmmm. Seems I do more looking that working. But I use the mule to go to/from the fields to prune/plant/weed/fertilize etc.

There was an interesting thread on this a few years ago.
just a technicality for recorded hrs on tractors with mechanical rpm hr meter. usually on those, 1 recorded hr on engine= 1 hr @ 550 pto engine rpm
so actually there can be more "engine hrs" on a tractor than recorded when engine rpm falls below pto speed on those mechanically linked rpm/hr meters

To summerize
hrs/years=hours per year

I had seen an industry study that said compact tractors used in a rural lifestyle setting only get 27 hours of use a year on average. Remember the folks active on this forum are definitely in the higher end of hours compared to the average Joe. This is one of the reasons that there is so little aftermarket support for parts for the compact tractor market, low hours and high model variation with low population of tractors in each model.

This is interesting. I've got 35 hours (came with 5 hours on meter) on my new and first tractor. I'm at 41ish now. I used it quite a bit the fall learning that it was amazing to drag cedars to burn pile. Game changer for me.

I picked it up last July 4. I expect to use it much more this year. I estimate 90 to 100 hours. This does give me perspective.

I have averaged about 250 hours a year on mine for the two years I have owned it.

Probably 75 or so per year on the LK3054. Plowing snow, field mowing and general chores around the property.
Don't have an hour meter on the lawn tractor, but I'd guess close to the same for it.

Less than 30/year but worth every cent to have it. I can't schlep everything (and don't want to...) so it is a huge help. Also used for mowing the bits haying or row crops don't take care of.

Well... my 2018 2025R now has 1330.7hrs. The third and fourth years were the busiest, with making trails and movement of soils for new home construction. IMO having great ballast was key, as not needing or using 4x4 most of the time, and I wasn't pressured into a time-frame of completions. Last year put around 200, mostly just riding around the property picking up sticks and giving the grandkids wagon rides.
