I spent a few minutes this morning putting together this table so I can better compare various tractors I am interested in.

Though others might find it useful as well. Let me know what you think. It is not even close to complete, but I dont have my tractor brochures with me at work today /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif.

If you know any information Im missing, please let me know. Especially the list prices for the NH models.

Re hp, might want to specify this is gross hp. Include net hp if you can find it.

Re 3ph lift capacity, identify where measurement taken: arm, 24" behind arms, both.

Re length, identify whether 3ph arms are included. JD usually does, while K and NH usually dont. Arms add about 10".

Re loader lift capacity, identify which of the 4 measurement pts the force is at: pin (which gives the highest #), middle of bucket, lip of bucket, 500mm forward of pin. You will find it difficult to get apples to apples on this.

Re mower, add max 3ph mower width.

Re backhoe, specify whether you are talking about availability from the tractor manufacturer (which I think you are). Third party hoes may be available.

I have a ton more information available to me at home, so I should be able to do an update tonight/tomorrow. Its wierd how the websites work. John Deere has more info online than in the brochures. New Holland is exactly the same as the brochures, and Kubota has less information online than printed.

John Deere certainly leads the pack in sheer amount of information and even pricing on line.

Thanks for the input by the way. There are a ton of implement specific issues that need to be added, hopefully the next version will be much more complete.

Would be nice if someone had the time and energy to put together a TBN Tractor Chart, as you are doing, but going all the way up to 48 hp. One of those interactive grids, where you can click on "length", for example, and it sorts by length, etc. Could even ask for best "street price" from the members in addtion to list price. Someone else created a chart of some kind. GlueGuy? A master chart would be a real benefit since we all do these comparisons with more or less thoroughness.

I would be willing to create the page, if someone can host it. I will even create an app to allow all sort of fancy sorting if anyone has a Lotus Notes/Domino server to put it on (since that is what Im most familiar with /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif)

Actually, you should be able to create the spreadsheet with any of the newer applications as they usually provide a means to convert the spreadsheet to an HTML format for display purposes. Unless, you wish the chart to be "live".

I created the original with Frontpage Express. I could use excel, and export pages based on every possible sorting. Then include links to switch to them. The nice thing about Notes/Domino is that the data is stored in a database and not static. A change is immediatley reflected in the webpages without "exporting".

I did the same thing a couple of months ago for all the Kubota B series (plus the BX2200). Here's my version. It includes a color-coded area comparing the HP and torque curves of the engines, showing the "sweet spot" where the engine actually puts out the "advertised" amount.

You could add your stuff to it, but you would have to dig up all the compariable stuff on the JD and NH models.

Glue Guy,

Just read your chart, nice job. I'm wondering what the difference is between "intermittent" and "continuous" HP and torque ratings.

GlueGuy,

Holy Smoke, GluGuy. How tall did your grass get by the time you were done with the spread sheet?

Nice job. The B7500 looks like a pretty good tractor on this sheet. Is there an bias in these numbers?
Just kidding, thanks for taking the time to post your version.

Feeling good about my(wifes) B7500, Al
