According to this chart you just need to up size the suction hose for runs longer than 5'.

Only thing I'd worry about is if you're digging with the nose of the tractor downhill...not sure how much "lift" is too much for a hydraulic pump.

How much flow does your tractor's pump run? Since you're now running hoses the length of the tractor, might as well utilize it's reservoir, pump, cooler, etc. Or maybe run a smaller PTO pump for just swing and use the tractor's pump for the rest. Just some ideas...

I might just incorporate the tank into the bh frame. Already working on it, I will post a picture later. The system will use tandem gear pumps, each with flow 100 l/min. That turned out great on rk - 525. Only this time I will use direct coupling on to a tractor pto shaft with female coupling without flexible shaft inbetween.

Me too...finally I started preparing the parts... this time it takes a bit longer because all the hydraulics are brand new so that's quite expensive... I won't use any repaired parts like last time.
Started to make swing cylinder coupling rings.

Here are two demolition machines from the company i work for, breaking up a river lock. Both big machines are equipped with triple booms.

Yes. Main differences: sideshift frame, tripple boom, main lifting cylinder will be placed under the boom to get more lift force, lower weight, higher reach, 2 joysticks with em valves (to avoid foot pedals)...and last...jaw bucket to replace hydraulic thumb if there will be any money left to do it.
Those are great demolition machines

We supply the German importer with VA booms for Cat 330 and 335 machines: Germans call it VA, Verstell Ausleger, or adjustable boom. Its popular for main sewer installation, with boom folded it has a lot of strength to lift concrete sewer pipe sections in the hole, and extended, it has enough reach to backfill without repositioning: in narrow inner cities they want to dig, place, and backfill sewer mains while moving the excavator ahead of the trench in one workflow.

A triple boom gives the same benefits as a telescopic dipper, but it is much, much more sturdy, and dont get as sloppy.

Your new backhoe is truely an evolution of the first. I'm looking forward to see what details you come up with

That's exactly what I want to avoid. This is the replacement for the telescope. It will be a compilation of previous experience with rk 525 and some new ideas

Triple boom also gives you a greater working angle. With a teledipper, the dipper/boom hinge is limiting your work angle. Also, you can work with just boom lift and dipper cylinders, with an extended teledipper the ratio between dipper and boom is so off that you have to work with 3 functions at the same time.

I agree. Besides that, with this setting I will get alot more force on the second half of the boom and the dipper. When you extend the telescope there is an enormus loss of force at the end because of the length of the boom. This way if I need to lift something heavy I can put my first part straight up an use only second half of the boom with the dipper. I spent some time thinking about this and for me it has all the advantages over telescope...

Is she the reason those welds look so fantastic? I've been welding my whole life, and those are some nice welds.

I watched his last backhoe build. I just found this thread. I’ll try to look through it later. Edit I’m not as far behind as I thought. I followed his last build. This one is just getting started right?

4570man there was no commercial build backhoe of this size and properties to buy. At least not here. There are some backhoes built in Italy but these are toys compared to rk 525. They have half the reach and power...so I decided to build one myself and I will never regret that it's a great experience
