Tractor
Belarus 820
Hi. Here I am again with some innovations. This idea has been bugging me for some time now...so I finally decided to do it... I'm building my own tractor backhoe attachment for my Belarus 820 tractor. As always it al started with some drawnings... I made approx 30 of them, but here are a few final..

After that I made a detail inspection of the rear end of my tractor in order to come up with the best mounting solution. My decision was to make a hook type quick coupling with a frame under the tractor wich will connect to the front loader frame in order to avoid any stress or damage to the gearbox or engine.

The new mounting frame avoids all parts of the rear 3-point hitch, so the tractor can be normally used for agricultural or other jobs when the backhoe is off...

I purchased some other parts...bucket teeth, joysticks, tandem gear pumps...

That's it so far. Right now I'm in the process of development of other parts for my backhoe...

I will be posting along the way untill it's finished...

So far that's about the nicest work I've seen on something like this. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

I'm curious where you're sourcing your purchased parts. Do you have someone local that's doing the CNC part cutting?

Thanks. Yes, I draw my parts alone and then buy material and go to a local workshop where they cut it with a CNC plasma cutter

You're an incredible artist. Your sketches remind me of those of Leonardo da Vinci.

2x on that. Very nice work.

Thanks guys. Well, I'm self taught in all this; I started welding, drilling and cutting when I was 15 years old. Recently I finished college and got a degree as an Electrical Engineer, but building new machines is my real passion

Looks great, that's a major project you have going there. I'm sure you already know that. Keep us updated on the progress.

Wow that is truly amazing to tackle such a detailed project.
Also your sketches are very impressive!
What do you estimate the finished product will cost you?

At this point I'm not really sure but it should not be over 3000$...hopefully :)
I've managed to get some of those thicker plates from the scrapyard (remains from big projects which are disposed from large factories).
That's not actual scrap, it's new metal but some parts were already cut out...sometimes they cut it the wrong way or wrong patterns so they dump it and then I get it at a lower price ;)
Material for the main frame, buckets and boom is brand new and I bought it in store. Pumps, joysticks and bucket teeth were ordered brand new. The only old parts will be the cylinders. 3 from an old JCB, 3 from O&K excavator and one from MF backhoe. I will replace all the seals and O rings so they should work just fine
I wanted to buy all new parts but of course, "time ($$$)" is always an issue :D
