I have been looking for a bigger mower for my new property. I was not specifically looking for a wide area mower but I came across this one. Best I can tell it's a Toro 580-D 16' cut and 80hp Mitsubishi Turbo Diesel. Made from late 80's to the early 00's. Owner got it in an auction lot. Started it with a jump box and had to chase it when it started driving away on it's own. He said it has "wiring problems" and that you can see where some wiring was burned. That is all the info he has on it and does not want to mess with it. Anyone have any experience with these?
It's priced low enough that it's almost worth the risk. It's about a 3 hour drive for me so I can't really just run over quickly to check it out. Looks like it takes 2 batteries and there are none on board. You recon jumper cables from my truck would work to start it? I'm not too worried about the flat tires or what looks like at least 1 bent blade.
