Does anyone have the generic (NAPA) part number for the rubber boot for
K2561-0163-0 axial ball joint. Earlier posts suggest they are available.

Mine are torn and need replacing before winter so I don't ruin the ball joint. I saw earlier posts on putting inner tubes over them but prefere to replace them and add rubber guard extention as another poster did.

Another kubota part number I have is 35080-44680 for just the rubber dust cover but at $10.00 a piece it seems a little steep.

Mine have been gone for 1500+ hrs. Not to worry.

That is kinda my opinion, it's not like a CV joint boot; I'll probably do mine this winter as I already bought them, but who knows. My son in law has run with torn boots for three years.

Boy, this is another old thread.. Talked about alot before, use the search function.

I just used what the old posts had. About $6 fix.

If you want some pix let me know...Funny, like the old PDR manual I posted here years ago for my bx22...

Bingo RedBug that it exactly what I want to do to mine after I fix the darn things.

I searched the old threads and in every thread somebody says how you can get them at the local auto parts store BUT no part number. Maybe it is just internet BS.

I have been through a few ball joints over the years. Last year I bought some hydraulic hose cover sleeve at the parker store (woven sleeve like is used on some hoses on the tractor). Got a foot of 1.5" or so (I don't remember in detail). Cut it in half, flame singed the ends with a match to prevent fraying and tie wrapped on them over the boots. Has worked w/o problem and saves the boots. Cost a couple of dollars.
