Quick question and first post (just found this site! Nice!)

When using my 3PH to tow a tiller, aerator, etc I put the MMM in TOP mode. But when I lower the 3PH I see the MMM does drop a couple inches at least.

So I want to clarify that this should happen and TOP isn't necessarily snug up against the bottom of the machine as if you'd raised it all the way.

Thanks!

Right, it will drop a couple of inches.

Thanks, guys! Wish it would stay up higher for more clearance, but oh well. That's a small price to pay for such an amazing little scut! :)

Does the same thing on my BX23, and welcome.

Agree with the others, it will drop some. On my 1850, it would barely move down when I lowered the hitch, but on my 1860, it drops noticeably more. I'm thinking some of the slack can be adjusted out via the adjustment nut on the back left side of the tractor, but I haven't gotten around to testing my theory yet. This is the nut that adjusts the position of the MMM linkage in relation to the 3PH rock shaft. One of these days I'll get around to testing this out.
