I did initially look at a 1/4 inch aluminum rod and it may be Plan B if the prototype doesn't last, though I think it will continue without issue.

Just to confirm, the top link control is very easy to adjust, which is all I really need to tweak from the back when swapping attachments.

The 3PH control requires considerably more effort to adjust and I'm not needing to adjust that.
