Toplink Top link extension

I wasn't sure where to post this question but it does pertain to the use of an attachment. I need to extend my top link about an extra 6" to get my post driver in and out of the barn. It will always be in tension since the driver will be leaning back. I was thinking of using a shackle on the top link with a piece of chain on that to the top link pin in the driver. The question will be if I can find a shackle with wide enough opening and a pin small enough to fit through the top link. Does anyone have any other ideas?

If a chain will work for you, don't use a shackle... Just weld a round link on the ends of a 1/2 inch chain that is cut to the right length. Your top link pin will capture the round link. The pin on the implement will capture the other round link. KennyV.
