I called Malissa at Markham. and ask her about a toothbar for the 61 inch JD bucket. she said it weighs about 70 pounds...:)

and would be 231$ and 26$ shipping to GA. I may really give this some thought. that would weigh hafe what the JD toothbar weighs.....;)
much easier to handle.

Chris....:)

Yup. I went for the 2520 but elected to keep my 49" bucket. That is the horsepower per bucket ratio - the HP:FEL ratio. Very scientific process where I can put a more intense amount of power on a smaller surface area - LOL.

Actually, I need the smaller bucket for a big project I am doing under my deck. I was afraid the bigger buckets would not fit between the posts.

If you do go for a new toothbar 7 teeth work better than the standard 5. Just need to specify when ordering. It does cost more. Your JD toothbar for the 61 inch bucket sounds like my ATI it is made for skidloaders and is way overbuilt for my 2320. Works really great though.

I agree with duc. once the deck project is done. your going to find. the 2520 is way to big for that ity bitty bucket. :( and a 61 inch bucket will now cost 500 bucks....;) as for digging. if you would of seen the size of the posion ivy roots i dug out around some pine trees today with that 61 inch bucket.
I dont think dig force is a problem....:D

This is the same tooth bar and bucket from my old 4100, which I just switched buckets to the 2520
