Aaron Z

Yesterday morning with only six days left in the year, my buddy Brian dropped off his 2019 calendar.

My original post showed a pic of my shop office. (Sorry Aaron , I sat myself down in the corner for a few minutes).

Merry Christmas, everyone!

These are German but they’re pretty sweet. I don’t have my 10” side cutters at home to compare too, but I already know they’d loose. Cutting a screw, 1/4 cheap bolt, a 1/4 nut, and a dinky chain was a piece of cake. Cutting a 1/4 grade 5 bolt was too much and I don’t recommend it, but it got it done. These would be the ticket for cutting a lot of fence wire where it hurts your hand with regular cutters. I wouldn’t trade any of my Knipex for USA anything. Here are a couple of tools, unique pliers, and some pipe wrenches, and a manual driving/reversing screwdriver from Millers Falls (Ma) from my fathers collection of tools - he was a finish carpenter.

I have never figured out the pliers with the serrated curved jaws - it seems like it could be a horse shoeing tool?

This is one of my favorite unique tools. I got it at a garage sale for a couple bucks. The date of mfg is on the 2nd line.

This is a video that shows more. Mine is not "restored" and never will be. Other slip jaws are available.

The second one over as called a "yankee" screwdriver. Very popular in their day before the battery powered stuff.
