Paid job moving 20yds of topsoil from a pile in front and spread it out in low spots in the back yard. The Piranha Tooth Bar was great back scraping!!!

Also did some back scraping with my PTB today. Landscaping/terracing so I can plant more grass and access more land with my BX. Mowed some grass with the Z turn as well. The sunset was a nice finish to the day.

I don't know how some of you guys get anything done, you have such gorgeous views/vistas that I'd be stopping and just gawking. I know you get used to it, but there is something about gazing out over water.

The local power company has been replacing poles in one of my pastures. They were kind enough to leave me a few old poles which I plan to use when put up another pole shed at some point. I went ahead and moved the poles on the spur-of-the-moment but I probably should have changed to the grapple because it was a real balancing act moving the poles with the forks.

Every day that I walk out of my house, I think and have some feeling of appreciation for the fantastic view that greets me... 360° view of West Virginia hills, as far as the eye can see. I, as we all are, am very blessed.

1) took front chains off
2) removed stump with new stump bucket
3) changed implement on 3pt for first time (Farmi winch off - single tine ripper on)
4) ripped water drainage ditch for snow melt
5) got royally stuck in mud
6) used front mounted 10,000 lb Warn to winch myself out

Time to start tending to the food plot soon...

Re: TODAYS SEAT TIME, Poop, Snowy gravel or grovelly snow, Excavator Lives!

Today got some seat time

I used the Back Hoe to remove and replace a broke T post in nasty rocky soil.

Using the box blade on the FEL, (See like Below), I dragged tons of snowy gravel or gravelly snow out of the snow bank to let it melt in the 65F sun we had today.
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/build-yourself/372240-3pt-stuff-your-loader.html

Next, again using the box blade, I scraped out the at least 10 tons of poop from the cow paddock, then used the little Max28 and RTV900 to haul the poop to our manure mountain.
Some starting fluid got the excavator going. It blew white grey smoke on start-up. I had mice in air filter ducting, and water in the fuel. When I drove it up my driveways´ hill a big slug of water went in the fuel pickup and it stalled again, but I got it started again, (more white smoke)
I ran the excavator up & down the snow bank to try to tilt the fuel tank in all directions so the water that settled would find its way out.
Late last fall I put 911 in fuel and I'll replace the fuel filter and hopefully that will be the end of this.

The RTV900 is making all sorts of u-joint noise in 4WD. Could be a U-joint in the driveshaft or a CV joint in the axle. Always something!

That box blade on the FEL is cool! I put in about 4 hours and went through half a dozen shear bolts bush hogging a field. I also put a potato hiller together and tried it out. Worked pretty well! Now I need some S-tines and some paint to finish up the implement. (Yes, I know my row isnt straight...)

MY seat time, was sitting in my house listening to my neighbors truck roaring (straight piped Cummins) back and forth in his wet field over quarter mile away. Then a second truck roaring in the same field and doors slamming. lol

My wife and me, were sitting here making guess' on how long it would be, before my phone would go off, asking if I'd come over and pull them out. I figured it would take a little while, as he was peeved at me for not accepting his offer, on a 4wd pu I have here, that he wants to buy.

Anyway, finally the call came, him asking me how much I'd charge to come over and pull them out, as they didn't have anything big enough to do that job. lol lol

SO, I drove over and pulled them both out, and I told him all I wanted was for him to "get over", being peeved at me.....and he did.
