Seems like a worthy cause. But honestly most of y'all will be dead by the time I use this thing long enough to wear anything out.@HawkinsHollow
Maybe you can be the test case. You said you have 2 pivots. Grease one. Don't grease the other. Monitor them and report your findings back here. So you ruin one of the pivots. It will be worth it to solve the debate.

Question. Do they make the pins out of a lesser material so the pin wears out before the implement? Just thought of that and it seems like a good ideea.

I would grease it for sure. Then I would grease the pins that get direct contact with grease more often, but then again, it's only 3 pins so I would most likely end up over grease the 3 pins more often.

At 100hrs that pin joint on mine started to wear considerably. I drilled and tapped a grease fitting for it. Pulling it apart to grease the pin didn't seem like a long term option. I noticed the other end wearing also, but already had a fitting for it, one that I was failing to grease. As far as dirt getting to it, I wonder. The front end loader joints for the quick disconnect are right down there in the dirt also, and they get greased.
