Got mine a few months ago...... It was super easy. Yet, $57.

There was no difference in price. When I renewed my license several years ago, the lady said if I wanted to upgrade I could just bring in the required paperwork and they would issue me the other license.

When we did get around to getting the enhanced license (2 years ago when we moved) it was just the normal renewal fee.
