TN75 Tranny Noise

Good Day all.
I’ve owned my TN75 for 5 years now and have been extremely satisfied with it. When I purchased it, the dealer mentioned the previous owner had upgraded the OEM clutch to a heavy-duty one. Recently, I’ve noticed an issue: primarily when shuttle shifting from reverse to forward, there’s a clunking sound coming from the transmission area, and the tractor stutters momentarily before moving along. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Although engine wise it seems to run fine, and I am not sure if it is related, but there was a point yesterday that it almost seemed to want to stall and the alternator light would momentarily come on? This just happened a few times and not always when tranny acts up?
Just wondering if this could be an electrical issue or mechanical?

It sounds more like a mechanical clutch or drivetrain issue than an electrical one. In my experience, a clunk and brief stutter when shuttle shifting from reverse to forward points to excessive lash or a clutch adjustment issue rather than a charging problem.

If the clutch is not adjusted correctly, or if the shuttle/reverser linkage has play, the tractor can lurch or clunk when direction changes. Worn driveline parts, or internal wear in the transmission could also make that noise.

How many hours does the tractor have, and is your clutch pedal free play within spec?

The alternator light flickering briefly could be a separate issue. That kind of symptom can come from a poor battery/ground connections, a charging system problem, or an alternator beginning to fail. If the light only comes on for a moment and does not stay on, I would not assume it is directly causing the shuttle clunk.
I haven’t worked on a TN75, but I did work on a Kubota L3650 shuttle shift that was stuttering because the clutch was misadjusted, and the symptoms sound somewhat similar.

It might help to clarify a bit on your tractor model and configuration. There was a TN75, 75A,75D, 75DA. 75SA, ETC. Different transmission options as well. It's hard for anyone to offer any meaningful help not knowing what you have.

And there is no clutch adjustment, at least nothing that would affect the situation you described. The condition is only present when shifting into forward? Only when shifting from reverse, or sometimes from neutral as well? It might be too early to guess, but my first thought would be something to do with the forward side of the shuttle synchronizer. Do the "feel" of the detents and overall travel distance of the shuttle shift lever seem pretty much the same as before all this started?

This is a staight TN75 4X4 with FEL. It happens both forward and reverse. Can a short video be uploaded here?
