Buying Advice TLB 110

I had no idea how pricey JD seats are.

When I bought my Kubota BX a seat issue came up... not from me but many felt the seat could be better... to my amazement I got a brand new BX seat for $50 and got to keep my old one... it is something I will never forget!

I only need the cushion parts, replacements from Deere are about $200. That I can stomach, I priced out all the pieces to install the rear remotes from parts and it was like 6k. If I recall it was like 2.5k from the factory. Not sure why deere prices parts as they do but it's not like there's many alternatives.

Not sure if the below post is old news to you.
I think Disney did an excellent job adding rear hydrauics to his jd 110 tlb.

I have indeed seen that post, I've talked with Brian and feel that the flow through the valve needs to be more gpm than disneys install.
But the needed valve is a bit spendy to the tune of about $900, that's before hoses and mounting. I will eventually pull the trigger and document the install as I plan to mount the valve block similar to how deere is now doing it on the 4 series machines. I just don't have a lot of need for the rear scv's other than on my box blade so it's been low on the priority list for me.

Always liked your setup Doc... mine only has the front aux hydraulics... no rear which would be nice for a thumb or hydraulic posthole digger.

You might be able to add the 7th function. Spend some time looking at the valve block for the 'hoe in the parts book. You might only need the 7th valve itself, longer bolts and of course the pedal/control linkages... Cost is another issues, but it might not be too bad. I can say a thumb is a wonderful thing.

My see cushions are in need of replacement. The southern sun really did a number on them and the cold in New England split the vinyl pretty good. Deere was only offering the entire seat to the tune of $1200 .

Matt

I just bought two new cushions, they were $138 each. I also bought two new switches that are in the seat, they were $20 each. The entire seat assembly is now a whopping $1600.

I bought the seat switches because mine are acting up. I believe the deteriated seat covers has allowed rainwater to soak the foam cushions which damaged the switches. My tractor will suddenly stop moving and a code will flash on the instrument panel. This happens when I first get on the machine, hit a bump while moving overland or going up hill. Until I install the new switches the countermeasure is to hop up and down on the seat once or twice.

I should bite the bullet and replace the cushions... only thing in disrepair... though I could replace both front tires it I got crazy!
