Lots of threads on here about that. Just do a search and readup.

The type of tires which will work best depends a lot on what you are going to do with the tractor. What type of surface you think it will be used on the most, etc...

Ag is most agressive, best traction. Can damage lawns, and dig some good ruts in wet areas.

Industrial are a cross between turfs and ag. Better flotation att he expense of traction. Slightly less agressive.. so easier to lawns... loads up with mud faster than ag but maintains much better traction than turf.

What you intend to do, and where you intend to do it will help alot in determining what tire you need.

Jerry,

In addition to Soudguy's comments, another impotant factor is that generally Ag tires have a much lower load rating than comparable Industrial tires.

I have a NH TC33DA with turf tires and a loader. The Ag front tires have a load rating of 990# each, the Turfs at 1230# each, and the Industrials at 2000# each. For digging in and moving gravel and dirt the turfs were overloaded with the bucket full. This is with the rears loaded and a 550# box Blade for ballast. I have purchased a set of industrials for use during heavy loader work to get the full use of the loader capacity.
