Hello,
What kind of tires would you reccommend for a Cub Cadet 128?
I'm restoring one and I'll be buying tires soon, so what kind of tires would be best?

Thanks for Your Help!
John

find yourself a nice turf tire, if you are going to put chains on it for plowing this winter get the original size.....if you are not going to plow, get some nice wide turf tires.......Don

Its in the process of restoration, I've got the motor out and I'm just cleaning everything now. It's a rolling chassis at the moment, The K-301 is out awaiting a new gasket set and PTO rebuild, The Clutch needs to be rebuilt and of course paint. I'll put turf tires on it, I can get them in the standard size. It will not be a winter tractor, My Cub Cadet 169 and 125 are going to be winter tractors with a Blade on the 125 and Snow Thrower on 169.

I picked up a 149 that im gonna let my 14 year old son have....i have to rebuild the engine, its smoking and using oil like crazy. I figure new rings, valves, seats and guides.....never had one apart before but i think i can figure it out........I have wide turf tires on the 1811 that i just aquired and it looks good....The 149 just has the reg size tires on it...........Good luck with the build, let me know how it turns out.....Don

It's pretty simple, To get at the cylinder, You'll have to take off the oil pan and head of the motor. Once you've got the engine apart, You can flip it over sideways and undo the two bolts on the bottom of the rod and you can push it right out of the top of the head. just like that. I may do that with my 128, There's some gunk I can't get off of the piston.
