I went to napa to get the adapter so I can load my tires, and they can't find what I am talking about, does any one know the part num, or the proper name to call it, so they can find it?

Thanks Bob

Get it at TSC. They are by the tires, tubes, patches, and plug section. Mine cost about $10 3 years ago.

I went to TSC, they didn't have it, they also didn't have any idea what I was talking about? Plus it was a one hour ride to get there:(. Any part num for the TSC one would also be great!!! I could then mail order it!

Thanks Bob

If you are going to siphon it in it is worth a few more bux to add a ball valve.
Local plumbers supply or hardware store, 3/4 inch garden hose fittings.
Assemble your sinker on one end of the hose, ball valve and fill adapter on the other end.
With the ball valve open, lower the hose into the liquid slowly, close the ball valve when all the air is out of the hose.
OK, you can guess the rest...

They had it. They have some real idiots working at these places now days. Anyway mine was made by Monkey Grip.

Here is a link. Its a small piece and can be easily over looked if you have not seen one before.

Tractor Supply Company - Monkey Grip Air Water Adapter Kit

Chris

I too failed to get one at TSC this past weekend. I went into the store with the SKU from their website and everything. Monkey Grip Kit is now listed as "clearance" - Their's a new number, but I cannot remember it. Supposedly they had a glitch in their inventory system that was fouling up their re-stock efforts. Supposed to get them in this Thurs PM for Friday sale...

Well someone feels my pain! I had the part num and all, from old posts here, go into TSC, they look at me like I had buggars on my face? That was why I was figuring I could get it at Napa, they have a huge warehouse here, I just can't get them to find it either? Thanks For the help. If I can't find the Napa num, I will wait a week or so and try TSC again.

Thanks Bob

THE TSC MODEL IS CRAP! (Made by Slime, I think)

I purchased the adapter a few months ago from TSC. Finally got around to using it this weekend. Here is what I went through to get it to work.
  1. The "hose end" threads were cut for a 3/4" NPT pipe fitting NOT a standard garden hose fitting.
  2. I tried to return it for a new one at TSC (1/2 hour car ride, one way) but they did not have any in stock. So I decided to try to make the one I had work.
  3. Back in the shop, I dis-assembled the adapter and replaced the "hose end" with an old garden hose end splice kit. ;)
  4. Next problem was that the adapter for the valve end would not make a tight seal. The little adapter piece was cut too long and the threads bottom out before compressing the seal at the bottom. Thus causing it to leak leak all over.
  5. I was able to stuff a couple extra o-rings in the bottom of the adapter and get an OK seal but it still leaked a little.
Glad that ordeal is over. Now my tires are finally filled.:D No thanks to TSC and their lousy products and horrible inventory practices.

Just curious what you filled your tires with? Also how did you go about transferring the fluid from a bucket to the tire?

If you're asking me:

I loaded 22 gallons of -20* rated WWF into each tire using this:

I use an adapter I got from Gemplers with a short piece of garden hose and an old boat bilge pump bolted to a piece of scrap metal sitting in the bottom of a 5 gal pail. Work slick. Fast and easy!!
