Tinted Cab Glass

Has anyone tinted the glass on their 3520 or other JD cabbed unit?

Considering the tint to ease sun load in the summer and curious if anyone has done the tint and noticed any difference in A/C cooling performance?

I would think it would help if you are ok with losing some visibility in the evening. Probably need someone pretty handy at installing there is not much for flat glass anymore on these tractors. Would be a pretty frustrating project for an amatuer like me !! But then again I could not do it 20 years ago on the flat glass of my Dodge p/u

There is a member on here that has a Montana that had his windows tinted I think he took it to a place that does it. It was a bit expensive if I remember right but it did help alot to keep it a bit more cool in the summer.

I find my glass is tinted enough....

Wintertime would be my issue... I put 50 hours on my tractor last year just clearing snow, 48 of those hours were in the dark....

Its your tractor...but I'd think the loss of "visability" wouldnt be worth it..a tractor is a "visibility intensive" type situation...

You check the A/C sytem completely? Charge is good...Roof Seals perfect? etc... even on a 95 degree day which usually translates to muggier then heck here in Maine mine pratically blows snow in the cab...and in the winter I can cook chocolate chip cookies the heat of air coming out of the vents...

I might try some of the tint film on a roll up shade first, because some of the higher percentage tint really can be awful once the sun sets.
